Virginia D. Meacheam-Leise
Argyle Virginia “Tomi” Meacheam Leise, of Route 40, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her home after a long battle with Lung Cancer. Born on December 10, 1950 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Charles Meacheam and Virginia (LaVergne) Meacheam Lewis. Tomi had previously worked for Westmount Health Facility and Hallmark Nursing Home for 10 years. She then went to work at Sherwood Medical and then later Sheridan Catheter in Argyle. Tomi had a warm heart and enjoyed fishing, traveling and had a great love for family, friends and animals. Besides her parents, and step-father Richard “Fireball” Lewis , she was also predeceased by her daughter, Tera Meacheam who passed on July 3, 1987, her sister, Linda J. Meacheam, and her nephew, Joseph. Left to cherish her memory include Richard Leise of Argyle, children, Rich and his wife Trish and their children, Cassandra and Jared; Rob and his wife Stephanie and their son Nathan all of Argyle; her brother, Charles Meacheam of Indian Lake, her sister, Eileen Rivette of Indian Lake; step sister, Gail Steel Brown and her husband Richard of Hudson Falls; step-Brothers, Richard Lewis and his wife Francie of Hudson Falls, Thomas Lewis and Terry Lewis both of Argyle; Newphew Tim Meacheam and children, Stephen and Lacey, Niece, Michelle and grandnieces, Ashton and Allison; her aunt, Murial Goodspeed . At Tomi’s request there will be no calling hours Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, Main St. Argyle. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle. Donations may be made in her memory to High Peaks Hopice or Argyle Presbyterian Church, Main St. Argyle, NY 12809.
