Obituary for Josephine Genzano

Josephine Genzano, 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Schuyler Ridge Residential Health Center in Clifton Park, NY.

Josephine grew up in the Bronx and lived and worked in the New York metropolitan area until she retired from IBM in 1984. She then moved to Clifton Park and Ft. Pierce, Florida and resided at Coburg Village for her last 7 years. In her retirement, she worked at the Saratoga Race Track until she was 89. She also volunteered at the CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services Treasure Shop for over 15 years.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Joesph Genzano, her daughter, Jane Toft and grandson, G. Christopher Gleason. She is survived by her daughter Dale (G.Kirk) Gleason, son-in-law David (Meredith) Toft, grandchildren, Dan (Ruth) Toft, Jason (Jodie) Toft, Jennyfer Gleason, and Cara (Jeff) Krebs. She is also survived by the great joys of her life, her great-grandchildren, Ashley Josephine and G. Matthew Gleason, Oden and Celia Krebs and Rosie and Levi Toft.

Josephine had a quick wit, and enjoyed her many friends. The family is grateful for the care she received from the staff at Home Instead, Hospice of Saratoga, Schuyler Ridge and Coburg Village.

All are invited to the Service and Reception in Josephine’s memory at Coburg Village on Monday, August 29th at 11:00 am.
