Katherine T. Diack, age 79, entered the eternal gates of Heaven on June 18, 2015, with family by her side. She was born on July 17, 1935 in the Bronx, NY and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Bernet) Tully. Mrs. Diack was a graduate of Evander Childs High School, Bronx, NY, class of 1952.
Kathy enjoyed her many years working with clients as a Mortgage Loan Originator at Homestead Funding. Kathy enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid card player. She enjoyed the time shared with friends while playing bridge and attending neighborhood gatherings. Kathy was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother and loved attending her grandchildren’s events. Kathy’s passion was to travel with her husband Bill throughout Europe, the Caribbean Islands and the United States. She especially enjoyed cruising with her favorite destination being the Bahamas.
Kathy was the beloved wife of the late William V. Diack; loving mother of Karen (Arthur) Misiaszek of Old Lyme, CT, Lorie (Christopher) Valentine of Peoria, AZ, Kurt (Ellen) Daubenschmidt of Queensbury, NY, Carolyn Thompson of Voorheesville, NY and Luke Diack of Wurtsboro, NY; grandmother of Kimberly, Kyle (Nicole), Jeffrey (Nipa) and Scott Misiaszek, Curtis (Bethany), Graham, Jordan (Alicia) and Lindsey Valentine, Eric Morgan and Sarah Daubenschmidt (Andrew Hallett); great-grandmother of Ava, Olivia & Madelyn Misiaszek, Maya & Shane Misiaszek and Devon, Britney & Blakely Valentine; sister of Wilma (Andrew) Crorken of Avon Park, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302. Family and friends are welcome at 10:00 AM and a reception will be held following the service.
Interment will be privately held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY at a later date.
Katherine’s family would like to thank the staff at The Pine’s Nursing Home in Glens Falls, NY for their compassionate care over the past year.
