Obituary for Rose Marie Welsh

Rose Marie Welsh, born on September 5, 1946 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late Erminia and Eugene Caputo, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 30th at Saratoga Hospital. Rose resided in the Schenectady/Rotterdam/Scotia-Glenville area until she and her husband Paul moved to Ballston Spa, NY.

Rose graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Schenectady, NY in 1964 and Albany Business College in 1966. She was employed as a Secretary at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, GE Corporate Research & Development Center, Scotia-Glenville High School and retired in 2009 from Saratoga Springs City School District.

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Erminia & Eugene Caputo, brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred Caputo, Marty Caputo (Ruby), Henry Caputo (Antoinette), Valentino Caputo (Helen), sister, Joyce Johnson, brothers-in-law, Gary Carpenter and William Welsh and mother-in-law Alice Welsh.

Rose is survived by her best friend and dearly loved husband of 26 years, Paul K. Welsh, her cherished and loved son, Chad Wadsworth (Christina), cared for and loved daughters from her marriage to Paul, Kathleen Sanborn (John), Lynette Panarese (Rob) & Melissa King (Eric), adored and loved grandchildren, Sam and Luke Wadsworth, Jack and Kate Sanborn, Mya and Mason Panarese, and Ellie and Piper King, loved sister, Joann Carpenter, loved God Daughter, Sherra Johnson, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins throughout USA and Canada, sisters-in-law, Mary Caputo, Bonni Hazelton (Bill) , Jackie Welsh, and brother-in-law, Charles Johnson.

Rose wanted to thank Dr. David Mastrianni for his dedication and kindness in caring for her with Breast Cancer in 2000 and with Lung Cancer in 2012,

Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Saratoga Road (Rt. 50), Glenville, NY on Saturday July 2nd at 9am. Interment will follow at St. Cyril Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY.
