Theresa M. (McCracken) Bonesteel, age 79, of Sugar Hill Road, died on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY with her family by her side. She was born on November 28, 1938 in Troy, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Larkin) McCracken. Theresa was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She moved to Clifton Park in 1965, where she settled and raised her family. Theresa had a wonderful career at NY Telephone Co. in Menands and retired as a data application manager. She was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park and served on various committees with joy. Theresa was full of love for her family and friends. She was an adventurous soul who loved to travel and take hold of new experiences. She was a life-time and much-loved member of the Clifton Park Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W. Bonesteel, Sr.; devoted mother of Donald W. (Debra) Bonesteel Jr., of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Daniel J. (Jerrian) Bonesteel of Clifton Park and the late James E. Bonesteel; adoring grandmother of Christina (Jason) Powers, Donald W. Bonesteel III, Connor Hoyt, and Cameron Hoyt; cherished great grandmother of Allison Nicole Powers; sister of the late Mary Ann McCracken Shappel and Edward McCracken; loving Aunt “T” of several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY.

Theresa will join her husband in rest on Tuesday at 12:30 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ladies Auxiliary of Clifton Park Fire Department, 38 Old Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
