He is survived by; his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie; four daughters, Teena (Shane Schumerder) Preston, Michelle (Joe) Decker, Debbie (Mike) Lea, Corrine (Gene) Farney; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two Brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Carol Terboss and William and Jean Terboss, many nieces and nephews, and special niece Tammy Terboss; also very special friends, Fred Akshar, Kate Newcomb, and Mike and Darby Weidman; and his two precious canine companions Rudy and Rocky who brought so much joy to him especially these last few months when they visited him at Willow Point.
Paul served in the US Air Force during the Korean War before which in his younger days opened a pizza shop in Port Dickinson and eventually moved into sales and then retiring, worked a little in the home construction business. Paul loved working in his yard, building and fixing so many things for his home, and others. He was Mr. Fix it, as he could fix just about anything that was broken up to and including pets where he earned the name “Dr. Doolittle.” At the end of the day he enjoyed an occasional Martini or glass of Merlot. Paul who was a quiet and compassionate man touched so many in the community he loved and called home, from his morning and afternoon coffee at Jane’s Diner to the twenty years he worked on the Conklin Town Fair committee.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate staff at Wilson Hospital on North Tower 3 and also the staff at Willow Point Nursing home, and also all of the people who have helped during these past seven months.
