Anthony R. Elluzzi, of Somers, New York, died Monday October 10, 2016 at Putnam Hospital Center. He was 81 years old.

Anthony was born on November 24, 1934 in Mt. Kisco, NY, son to the late Guy and Rose (Marzella) Elluzzi. He graduated from Mt. Kisco High School in 1952. On April 24, 1965 he married Lucia S. Puiatti at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls, NY.

Mr. Elluzzi worked for the Mt. Kisco Water Department for over 30 years before retiring in 1990. He and his wife created a home in Somers, NY 48 years ago and were parishioners at St. Joseph’s Church. Anthony was active with the Somers senior citizens and a member of the Italian American Club in Brewster, NY and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. He was a gentle and kind hearted man.

Besides his wife, Lucia he survived by his daughters; Joann Elluzzi and Sandra Elluzzi, his twin brother Joseph Elluzzi (Jeanne), his 2 nieces, Donna and Debra and 2 nephews, Guy and Nikolas. He was predeceased by his one brother and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 13, 2016 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church, Somers, NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Somers, NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 12 from 4-8 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY.
