<br>Carmelo (Charlie) Domenick Sottile, 81 who resided in Brewster, New York (originally from<br>Elmhurst, New York), passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. Born on December 30, 1929 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of Antonio and Rosa Sottile. Carmelo was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War as a radio operator for 3 years and then worked for a Financial Book Binding company thereafter. He was married to his loving wife, Tommasina (Marcy) Pirri for 52 years. He will be remembered for his good nature, sense of humor, and kindness to others. He loved to dance, play cards, read, listen to his radio, and feed stray cats and birds. He is survived by his wife, Marcy, daughter Roseann and husband, Jeff, his son, Anthony and wife, Doreen. He was a loving grandfather to Allison (17), Melissa (9), Kristen (21), Mark (17) and Michael (9).<br> Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, New York 10509 on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from the hours of 4 to 8 pm. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Haviland Road, Putnam Lake, New York. He will be buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, New York 10579. There will be a reception to follow at the residence of Marcy Sottile .<br>Obituary
