Carpenter, Carol, age 76, of Brewster, NY, died on Monday February 4, 2013 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in North Tarrytown, NY on June 4, 1936, daughter to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Tidaback) Schwer. She graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School. On May 20, 1954 she married Allan Carpenter; he predeceased her in 1991.

Mrs. Carpenter was an accounting clerk for Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT for more than 40 years before retiring.

Mrs. Carpenter was an avid gardener, an outdoor women- camping and fishing and a painter.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her three children; Judy Condreras of Brewster, NY, David Carpenter of Amenia, NY, James Carpenter of East Hampton, NY, five grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Alyson, Cole and Shannon and by her siblings, Joseph Schwer, Donald Schwer and Evelyn Giannotto.

A funeral service will be held today, February 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster. Interment will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel. Visitation was Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Beecher Funeral Home.
