Cathleen McKeon Power, age 71, of Carmel, NY, died peacefully at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY on May 16, 2017.
Cathleen was born on October 10, 1945 in New York City to Joseph and Elizabeth (O’Hare) Flynn. She was raised there and graduated from St. Simon Stock High School. In 1965, Cathleen married John McKeon and they lived in Yonkers, NY and Brewster, NY. Cathleen became a Real Estate Agent working for various firms, and most recently had worked for Heritage Hills in Somers, NY.
After the death of John McKeon in 1992, Cathleen moved from Brewster to Cross River, NY. In 1995, she married John Power in Newport, RI, and they settled in Carmel, NY.
Besides her husband John, Cathleen is survived by three daughters, Laura Seltzer (Jordan) of New York City, Victoria Sexton (James) of South Salem, NY and Kristin Hadgis (Michael) of Bryn Mawr, PA. Additionally she is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Ruoti of Edison, NJ and Patricia McKeon of West Palm Beach, FL., and five grandchildren, Sarah, Sean, and Megan Sexton; and Alexandra and Nicholas Hadgis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11am at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel, NY, followed by a burial of cremains at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster.
