Charles F. “Mickey” Lilley, age 81, peacefully passed away on January 20, 2019. Mickey was a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY. He was a member of several local organizations including the Elks Lodge, Amerigo Vespucci, Catholic War Veterans, The American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Mickey was self-employed and had also worked at New York State Electric & Gas for 25 years after serving in the US Army. Mickey was known for his hard work ethic, sense of humor and his loyalty to the New York Jets. His family always came first and his wife, kids and grandkids were the center of his universe.
Mickey was predeceased by his grandmother, Violet Wallace, his Aunt Florence Wallace and his mother, Elizabeth Wallace Lilley. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Christine Larkin Lilley of Brewster, NY as well as his three children, Lonni (and Stephen) Campbell of Needham, MA, Cathy Huffman of Newtown, CT and Gregory (and Liz) Lilley of Mahopac, NY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jim Campbell, Ali Campbell, Sarah Lilley, Austin Huffman, Michael Campbell, Larkin Huffman and Joseph Lilley. They will miss their Poppi very much.
A memorial service will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY, on Friday January 25, 2019 at 12:30pm. Interment of his ashes will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 11am-1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mickey’s name to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
