Account#129138<br><br><br>Please run the below obituary in the Danbury News Times on Tuesday September 13, 2016- Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster, NY<br><br><br>Clara Mae (Willis) St. Jean, 81, passed away on September 11, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.<br><br>Clara was born November 29, 1934 in Danbury, CT, to Lucy and Harold Willis. She was raised in Danbury, but the family later moved to Brewster. Clara attended the Garden Street School and graduated from Brewster High School. She was involved in a wide range of activities including cheerleading, varsity basketball, chorus and Production Editor for the school newspaper.<br><br>On June 30, 1957, Clara married Jean St. Jean at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. Soon after, they relocated to Rhode Island where her new husband attended The Rhode Island School of Design. Upon graduation, they moved to Jackson Heights, Queens, had their first child, and later returned to Brewster to expand their family with two more children.<br><br>Her husband Jean passed away in 1983 and she made the transition from homemaker back to the work place. Following continuing education courses in accounting and bookkeeping, she worked as an accounts receivable clerk for Ethan Allen for 20 years, retired and then as a sales clerk at Macy’s.<br><br>Clara was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, volunteering for Ann’s Place and travelling with her sister Lucille and daughter Katherine.<br><br>Clara is survived by her son Jean E. St. Jean and wife Wendy of West Milford, N.J., daughter Katherine Mygan and son-in law Christopher J. of Naugatuck, CT. and son Francis O. St. Jean of Danbury. She is also survived by a brother Harold Willis and wife Patricia of Brewster, and was predeceased by her sister Lucille Barclay. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Joshua and Lillian St. Jean and nieces Carol, Joanne and Victoria Willis, Diana Mocarski and grandniece, Madelyn Mocarski.<br><br>The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Beecher Funeral Home on September 14, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ann’s Place Inc., 80 Saw Mill Road, Danbury, CT 06810.<br>

Clara Mae (Willis) St. Jean, 81, passed away on September 11, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
