Craig M. Ross, a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY died peacefully at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital on August 17, 2020 with his wife, family and friends by his side. He was 66 years old.
Born on May 12, 1954 in Mt. Kisco, NY son to the late John and Phyllis (Merritt) Ross. Craig was a graduate of Brewster High School. On August 28, 1976 Craig married the love of his life Barbette Pearson. They enjoyed 50 years together. Barbette and Craig loved to travel and explore the many wonders of the world but always called Brewster home.
Craig was a railroad conductor with Metro North Railroad for 36 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing the guitar and serenading Barbette, when he was 7 years old he played for the grand opening of Putnam Hospital Center. Craig was a wonderful, sincere, and kind person, loved by all who came in contact with him. He formed lasting bonds of friendship along the way. His family and friends will miss his calm demeaner and his sense of humor.
Craig is not only survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbette but also his sister Lorraine (Lori) Ross, 13 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews and was looking forward to meeting the next grand nieces and nephews later this year. He was predeceased by his brother Todd Ross in 2006.
