Dolores Chavez

Dolores Chavez, age 78, of Harrison NY, and Danbury, CT, died peacefully at the Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster. Dolores was born April 25, 1940, in Port Chester, NY to Rachel and Pasquale Evangelista.<br>Dolores lived and grew up in Harrison, NY and graduated from Harrison High School. She also attended St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. In 1960, she married Angelo Chavez in Harrison and raised her two children, while working as a secretary for 30 years for Roper Starch Worldwide.<br>Dolores was predeceased by her husband Angelo in 2006, as well as her eight siblings. She is survived by her two sons Angelo of Danbury, CT and Richard of Rye, NY, as well as four grandchildren; Amanda, Luke, Justin and Olivia. She is also survived by her brother Richard Evangelista of Harrison.<br>Dolores loved to travel and cook, but her greatest love was her family.<br>The family will be receiving family and friends at Beecher Funeral Home on Friday August 17 from 4-8pm. A service will take place during calling hours. Interment will be private.<br>
