Murray, Dorothy, age 85, of Brewster, NY, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Summerville, SC.<br><br>Mrs. Murray was born on March 28, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Nellie (Griffen) Westmiller. She graduated from the Girls Commercial High School in Brooklyn.<br><br>Mrs. Murray married Robert J. Murray on August 27, 1949 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Brooklyn. Mr. Murray died on November 15, 1994.<br><br>Family above all, was most important to Dorothy. Volunteering in the library or cafeteria at St. Lawrence School where many of her grandchildren attended was just one of the many ways she found she could be close to them. Dorothy also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and traveling. <br><br>Mrs. Murray is survived by her three children, Deborah Ballard of Charleston, SC, Robert J. Murray and his wife Margi of Brewster, NY and Gerard Murray and his wife Mary Rose of Brewster, NY. A brother Charles Westmiller of San Francisco, CA and a sister Kathleen Leonard of Staten Island, NY. Also 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. <br><br>A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 8, 2012 10AM at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster. Interment following at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8pm at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.<br>

Mrs. Murray was born on March 28, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Nellie (Griffen) Westmiller. She graduated from the Girls Commercial High School in Brooklyn.
