Elaine R. Healy, of Sherrills Ford, NC, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 10, 2020. She was 84 years old.
Born on February 2, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Frank and Rose (Micciancio) Ruscio. Elaine was graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s College, Newburgh, NY with a degree in Education. She taught Elementary School in Yonkers, NY.
On October 1, 1971 she married the love of her life, Theodore M. ‘Ted’ Healy at the First United Methodist Church in Brewster. Ted passed on November 18, 2017.
Elaine co-managed Messner-Hirth, an exporting company in Scarsdale, NY. Most recently she was an 13-year resident of Sherrills Ford, NC where she enjoyed hosting family for many visits. She was a member of St. Therese RC Church in Sherrills Ford as well. Ted and Elaine had lived in Aventura, FL for 9 years prior where they formed many wonderful friendships and enjoyed travel. Elaine had lived in Brewster, NY from 1964 until 2000, where she raised her family, was a parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church and cared for her aging parents.
Elaine enjoyed reading and her many livelong and enduring school friendships. She simply adored her children and grandchildren. She devoted herself to her family -they were everything to her.
Elaine is survived by her children; Edmund Condreras of New Milford, CT, Kenneth Healy of Harrison, NY and her daughter in law Judy Condreras of Hopewell Junction, NY, her grandchildren; Michael and Christine Condreras, Connor and Amanda Condreras, Jeffrey Taylor, Nico and Paul Healy. She was predeceased by her son Eugene Condreras in August 2015.
A private family viewing at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY will be followed by an entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
