Eleanore May Stano

Eleanore M. Stano, a resident of Carmel, NY died on Friday, December 11, 2020. She was 83.

Eleanore was born on May 27, 1937 in Hamden CT, daughter of the late William and Rose (Alberino) St. John.

Eleanore graduated from Hamden HS in 1955 and University of Connecticut with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1959. She worked as a Physical Therapist for the Montrose, NY VA hospital until she retired in 1999.

Eleanore is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lawrence Stano, and her three children, David Stano, husband of Maureen, Peter Stano, husband of Joely, both of Brewster, NY and Karen Winegardner, wife of Kevin, of Fleetwood, PA.

Eleanore had 9 beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Stano, Brett Stano, Tracy Stano, Nicole Winegardner, Erica Winegardner, Marc Stano, Justin Stano and Ava Stano and Christopher Van Kleeck.

She is also survived by her two siblings, Louis St. John, husband of Kathleen of Cromwell, CT and Christine Crosson, partner of Deborah Lyon, Old Saybrook, CT and numerous nieces and nephews.
