Eliza Sloan Dalzell, January 19, 1928- March 12, 2020<br>Eliza (Morrison) Sloan Dalzell passed away Thursday morning March 12 at her daughter’s home in Brewster. Eliza was born January 19, 1928 in Belfast Ireland to William and Elizabeth (Crawford) Morrison. She came to this country thru Ellis Island with her family in 1930. <br>Eliza was married to her two wonderful husbands, John ‘Mike’ Sloan in Brewster for 25 years and then as a widow found her second love Graeme Dalzell whom she married after the sudden death of John in 1977. She lived an active life with Graeme for 31 years in Murrells Inlet, SC. <br>Eliza was a wonderful cook and baker, sharing cakes and food with all in need. A loving wife, mother and friend, she worked many jobs before working at Readers Digest as Benefits Administrator for many years before retiring to SC. During this time, she and Graeme travelled and participated in the Senior Olympics, holding many medals at the age of 80. She was a force to behold. Nonstop energy for life and did it with style. Anyone knowing this lady, will smile at that. She could light up the room with her smile.<br>She is predeceased by both her parents (William and Elizabeth); her brothers William and Harry Morrison, her brother in law Matthew Kougasian, as well as her two loving husbands John and Graeme. <br>Eliza is survived by her sister Mary (Morrison) Kougasian, in Florida; John’s son and daughter Gary (SueAnne) Sloan and Heather (Russ) Sloan; extended family Sue and George Dalzell, Jon, Margaret and Richard Dalzell and their families. She was very close to grandchildren Michael (Kristin), Jim and Emily Sloan; Lauren Dalzell Inman, Ryan and Rachel, as well as 5 other grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Loving nieces and nephews Matt and Tess Kougasian, countless friends she adored.<br>A memorial service will be held early this summer.<br>In lieu of flowers, Eliza wished that donations be sent in her name to Pegasus Therapeutic Riding at 310 Peach Lake Rd, Brewster, NY 10509 or online at http://www.pegasustr.org/donate. <br>
