Francis J. Cammisa ‘Frank’, of Brewster, NY, died Monday November 21, 2016 with his family by his side. He was 79 years old. <br><br> Born March 13, 1937 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, son to the late Frank and Margaret (Grande) Cammisa. He attended Ardsley High School and graduated from Norwich University with a bachelors in Business. He honorably served in the US Army during from 1960-1962.<br><br>Frank married Eleanor A. Fletcher on June 18, 1960 in Ardsley, NY. Eleanor predeceased him on August 7, 2005. <br><br>Frank owned Franks Pizza Restaurant in Yonkers, NY a business he bought from his father. His wife Eleanor and all three of his children worked at the pizzeria until he sold it in 1984. After retiring from the restaurant business he was a handyman, "Daddy Fix-it", which received its name from his daughter Rebecca. In 1971 Frank and his wife purchased their summer home in Brewster, NY. For over 15 years he worked to completely overhaul the house with the help of his two sons, and made it a beautiful home. Frank retired at the age of 48 from the restaurant business, sold their house in Ardsley and moved full-time to Vails Grove. Frank and Eleanor bought a motor home and travelled the US for many years until they decided to start wintering in Ft Myers, FL. Frank, then became the "campground handyman and maintenance assistance" because he couldn't stay idle and always had to fix something. He enjoyed snow skiing, golfing and his passion was cooking. His grandchildren were everything to him and he was the happiest when they were all dining with him at his home in Vails or visiting him in his home in West Palm Beach, FL.<br><br> Frank is survived by his 3 children: Mark and his wife Nancy of Danbury, CT; Todd and his wife Jayne of White Plains, NY; Rebecca Buckley and her husband James of Fishkill, NY; his sister Mary Lou Henderson. His 9 grandchildren, Frank, Christina, and Danielle; Amanda, Allie, and Scott; and Charles, Isabella and Ava and 1 great grandchild, Charles.<br><br>A visitation will be held on Friday November 25, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:30 pm and will be immediately followed by a funeral service at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Interment will be private<br><br>A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 from 1pm-5pm at Vails Grove Pavilion in Brewster, NY. All are very welcome.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank's memory may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.<br>
