Francis (Frank) X. Lloyd, beloved husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Uncle, a 43 year resident of North Salem, NY, died July 14, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was 84 years old. <br><br>Frank was born on December 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY son to the late Frank A. and Mary (Kelly) Lloyd. He graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelors in Business Management. He enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged. On September 7, 1957 he married the love of his life Margaret McHugh in Brooklyn, NY<br><br>Frank was an area manager with Verizon before retiring in 1992. After retirement taught at Westchester community college for 2 years. He was a swimming instructor at the Richfield family Y and then was a tutor at the tutoring club in Brewster. He helped many students get great grades on the SAT to be able to attend college. This was not a job for him but a passion of his.<br><br>Mr. Lloyd was a kind, humble and loving man, who gave everything and never expected anything back. He loved people and people loved him. Frank was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church in Somers, NY. He enjoyed traveling, reading and history.<br><br>He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Margaret; seven children; Frank (Anna) Lloyd of Newport Richie, FL, Denis Lloyd of Newburgh, NY, Christine (Steve) Trezza of Middletown, NJ, John Lloyd of North Salem, NY, Jean (Mike) Paulson of Brewster, NY, Jennifer Barclay of Brewster, NY and Daniel (Brandi) Lloyd of Brewster, NY, 17 grandchildren; Sharon, Theresa, Joseph, Gina, Lisa, Steve, Matt, Greg, Christine, Diane, Kelly, Kimberly, Kerry, Elizabeth, Robert, Jessica and Sarah and 3 great grandchildren; Amanda, Brianna and Alexis. <br><br>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 21 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church, Somers, NY. Interment will be private.
