Frank Anthony Tranzillo

Frank Tranzillo of Brewster, N.Y., formerly of Bedford Hills, died peacefully in his sleep on June 5th 2011. He was 81.
He was born February 11, 1930 to Dominick and Margaret Roberti Tranzillo in Bridgeport, CT.
He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1947 and Fordham University, School of Pharmacy in 1951. He then served in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and was awarded the Bronze Star.
On September 12, 1954 he married the love of his life, Fedela Petruccelli. They settled in Bedford Hills in 1960 where he was the pharmacist and owner of Bedford Hills Chemists.
He is the beloved father of Fedela Marie (Frank) Kessler of Brewster, NY, Derek Frank (Kim) Tranzillo of Holmes, NY, Tyler (Bethellen) Tranzillo of Danbury, CT and Dawn (Michael) Auslander of Ridgefield, CT.
Cherished Grandfather of Nichole Putz, Lauren Collier, Derek Tranzillo,Jr., Frank, Matthew, Gregory, and Steven Kessler, Chelsea and Aubrey Tranzillo, and Michael Jr., Kevin, and Christopher Auslander.
Loving Great Grandfather of Ashley, Jack, Lily, Ryan and Trey . Brother of Daniel Tranzillo of Ewa Beach, HI and Robert Tranzillo (Margaret) of Monroe, CT.
His beloved wife of 50 years, Fedela, predeceased him in 2004.
He will be remembered for his devoted love of his family, his faith, and his country.
He was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle R. C. Church in Carmel, NY. and Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY.
He was an active member of the VFW Post #762 and American Legion Post # 71.
We are forever indebted to him for the lessons he has taught us and the faith he has instilled in us. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visiting Hours will be June 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY (845) 279-3615. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, June 8th, 2011at 10am. at St. James the Apostle R.C. Church, Carmel, NY. Interment to follow at St Lawrence O’ Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY.
