Gary W. Howley, of Carmel, NY, died at Putnam Hospital Center on Thursday April 17, 2014. He was 67 years old.

Mr. Howley was born on June 21, 1947 in Danbury, CT, son to the late James Bernard and Helen (Darling) Howley. He graduated from North Salem High School. He has lived in around Carmel for his entire life.

Gary was an auto mechanic for Texaco Gas Company in Brewster, NY. In his later years he enjoyed working at Hannaford in Carmel, NY.

Mr. Howley loved to go fishing and kayaking. He enjoyed working and keeping busy. In his earlier years he enjoyed tinkering with race cars.

Gary is survived by his four sons; Gary W. Howley of Pleasant Valley, NY, Bryan S. Howley of Wappingers Falls, NY, Michael Howley of Pawling, NY and Robert Howley, four grandchildren, three great granddaughters and his sister Debbie Malanchuk of Croton Falls, NY.

A private cremation will take place. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, assisted the family with arrangements.
