Mr. George T. Luby of Danbury, CT, died in Ridgefield on March 31, 2019. He was 89 years old.<br><br>Born on February 17, 1930 in Bronx, NY, to the late Lawrence and Edna (née Nadyia Jacknitsky) Luby, George graduated from Bronx Schools and served in the Army during the Korean War.<br><br>On September 12, 1953 he married the love of his life Eva Gilliam.<br><br>Mr. Luby was a gentle giant; a genuinely kind, patient, selfless family man who loved people. His idea of a good time was going to the supermarket and talking to everyone he saw. He was a friend to all who met him and beloved of his wife, children and grandchildren.<br><br>His career was spent as a salesman, selling electronic equipment from his Bronx-based place of employment.<br><br>George is survived by his wife Eva, his daughter, Barbara Augugliaro and her husband Vincent of Brewster, New York, his Daughter-in-Law, Janette Luby of Ithaca, NY as well as his granchildren: Thomas, Vincent Jr., and Brandon Augugliaro of Brewster, NY; Nadyia, Mackenzie, and Matthew Luby of Ithaca, NY, and Alexis Pelfrey and Jamie Charest of Leavenworth, KS. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, Clara Charest of Leavenworth, KS.<br><br>He was predeceased by three of his beloved children, Tommy, Susan Pelfrey and David, as well as his brother, Lawrence Luby.<br><br>After a private cremation, the family will hold a memorial and inurnment in Ithaca, NY. The family was assisted in their arrangements by Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster, NY.

Mr. George T. Luby of Danbury, CT, died in Ridgefield on March 31, 2019. He was 89 years old.
