Gertrude Webster, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Brewster, NY, died in the comfort of her daughter’s home with her family by her side on May 7, 2020. She was 85 years old.<br><br>Born on August 1, 1934 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late David and Rose (Arnsten) Reedie. Gertrude graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY. <br><br>On June 26, 1954 she married the love of her life, John Webster. Outdoors, Gertrude’s favorite pastimes were gardening, swimming, and playing tennis. She also enjoyed reading and knitting. She was known to be sweet, kind, and witty. She loved to share stories of her childhood and growing up with her family in Yonkers.<br><br>Mrs. Webster is survived by her three children; Janet Bayersdorfer (Eugene) of Wappingers Falls, NY, Susan Tobacco (Anthony) of Brewster, NY, and Steven Webster (Lisa) of Pawling, NY, her grandchildren; Lindsay and Kathryn Bayersdorfer, Lauren and Christopher Tobacco, and Sarah and Marshall Webster. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Brynn Marshall.<br><br>At this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family burial will take place at Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster, NY. Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster NY assisted the family with the arrangements.
