Irma N. Ebbers, of Middlebury, CT, Formerly of Putnam Lake, NY, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday April 13, 2017. She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Ebbers was born December 24, 1935 in Cliffside, NJ, daughter to the late Cosmo and Adeline (Cucci) Terruli. She grew up in Cliffside Park, NJ but was raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from New Utrecht High School, Brooklyn. On October 2, 1954 she married the love of her life Harry Ebbers. Harry predeceased his wife on May 6, 1988.

Irma was an Administrative assistant with Ethan Allen Corp for 20 years before retiring in 2002. She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Patterson and a past member of the Catholic Daughters, she also was the past president of the Putnam Lake Seniors. Irma loved music and was involved in drum corps since age 8. She was past director of the New Fairfield Sparklers, past treasurer of the Hudson Valley Drum Corps Association, past parade judge for the Tri-State Judging Association, a 20 year member of CT Alumni Drum Corps, past president of the Sacred Heart Seniors in Putnam Lake and a member of the New Fairfield Senior Citizens. Irma loved her UCONN Huskies and the NY Yankees.

Mrs. Ebbers is survived by her children; Randall Ebbers of Palm Coast, FL and Cynthia Dielemans (Frans) of Middlebury, CT, her 5 grandchildren; Krisinda Alberto (Justin), Brittany Dielemans Ehrhard (Brian), Kendall Dielemans, Morgan Petrella-Ebbers and Jordan Ebbers; 2 great grandchildren; Emerson Jade Alberto and Nolan Everett Alberto, her sister Gertrude (Jerry) Murphy, brother-in-law Phil Canapini and sister-in-law Margaret Hughes. Nephews, Raymond (Sharon) Canapini, and Gerard (Cheryl) Murphy; Niece, Laura Hughes; Great nephews, Phil (Joanne – Pearl, Felix and Simon) Canapini, Raymond (Katie) Canapini and Stephen Murphy; great niece, Courtney Murphy (Bryson). She was predeceased by her sister Marie Canapini and her niece Karen Murphy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY at 10:30 am. Interment of her ashes will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4pm-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. www.beecherfuneralhome.com
