Barrett, James L., age 93, of Putnam Lake, NY, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Carmel, NY.
Mr. Barrett was born August 25, 1918 in New York, NY to Nicholas and Mary (Maddox) Barrett. He served in army during WWII.
Mr. Barrett married Hedwig Maichin in Glendale, NY on April 24, 1943.
Mr. Barrett was a police officer for the NYPD serving at the 104th precinct in Queens.
Mr. Barrett had lived in Glendale for many years, spending summers in Putnam Lake since 1950 until moving there permanently in the 1980’s.
Friends may call at Beecher Funeral Home 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a funeral service at 6:00pm. A private cremation will follow.
