Joanne Hill Obituary
Joanne Hill, of Dover Plains, NY, died on April 10, 2020 due to COVID-19 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 56 years old.
Born on August 22, 1963 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, NY she was the daughter of Joseph and Joan (Kelly) Garcia.
On August 17,1987 she married George H. Hill in Wingdale, NY. For the last 32 years they have enjoyed their time spent together. Joanne was a cook with Guidepost Reader for 13 years before becoming a cook with Dover Union Free School. She worked there for 17 years before retiring. Mrs. Hill enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Carmel Fire Department.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband, George, her stepdaughters, Melody Williams of Carmel, NY and Marianna Tompkins of Wingdale, NY, her grandson Christopher Tompkins of Wingdale, NY and her new great grandson Connor Tompkins, her father Joseph Garcia of Deltona, FL, her sister Jane Garcia of Merritt Island, FL, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
