John M Budnick Sr., of Newburgh, NY, formerly of Putnam Lake, NY, died Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. He was 70 years old<br>John was born November 4, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, son to the late Louis and Caroline (Probert) Budnick. He graduated from Automotive Trades High School in Brooklyn NY in 1964. John honorably served in the US Airforce from 1967-1971. <br>Mr. Budnick married Angelika Shutts on April 14, 2001 at the New Life Church in Putnam Lake, NY. He loved his wife unconditionally until the day he died. <br> John Sr. was an avid NY Mets fan and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed fishing. However John’s greatest passion in life was his family. He never missed an event of his grandchildren’s life, whether it be a ball game or a dance recital. John was a family man. <br> Mr. Budnick is not only survived by his wife but his children; John M. Budnick Jr, and Caroline Hains, his step-daughter Michelle Butcher and his 8 grandchildren; John III, Leanne, Meghan, Kylie, Dylan, Madeline, Claire and Grace, and his dear friend Remona Budnick. He was predeceased by his siblings. <br>A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday January 21, 2017 from 12pm-2pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. A service will be held around 1:30pm at the funeral home. Interment of his ashes will be private and at the convenience of the family. <br>
