John W. “Jack” Gardner, Jr. of Denver, CO, formerly of Putnam Lake, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was 33 years old.

Born on August 21, 1984, in White Plains, NY to John W. Gardner, Sr. of Brewster, NY and Barbara M. Rich Muscaro of Purdys, NY, Jack is survived by his parents, sister Jill, step-father Michael and his loyal dog, Diesel.

Jack attended Brewster Central School District and graduated from Somers High School in 2003. He attended Delhi College and Westchester Community College. Jack worked as a sandhog with Local #147 in New York City before moving to Colorado.

An exceptional athlete in his youth, Jack was a passionate basketball player and snowboarder. Many of Jack’s evenings were spent snowboarding at Thunder Ridge. He could be counted on to pull together a pick-up game of any sport. From a young age, Jack combined his talent for drawing with his love of sports.

A dedicated friend, Jack enjoyed making people laugh and smile. More importantly, he was someone his friends knew they could go to if they needed anything.

On Friday, October 20, 2017, from 3-7 pm, a visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY (www.BeecherFuneralHome.com). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, Haviland Drive, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, NY.
