Joseph F. Buser, a 32-year resident of Brewster, NY, died on September 9th, 2018 at Danbury Hospital Center. He was 68 years old.
Born on October 12, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Julian and Eileen (Lambert) Buser. Joe attended Franklin K. Lane High School and honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Before Joe was drafted into the Army he married the love of his life JoAnn Rose Panucci on May 30th, 1970.
Joe worked as a field technician for Verizon in Elmsford, NY before retiring. He was an active member of the Brewster VFW. Joseph enjoyed model planes, whether he was building them or flying them.
Joe is not only survived by his loving wife of 48 years, JoAnn, but also his children; Joseph J. Buser and his wife Jacqueline of Patterson, NY, Kim Hofweber and her husband Alfred of Holmes, NY, James Buser of Brewster, NY, and Christopher Buser and his fiancée Cassandra Drake of Danbury, CT, his 4 grandchildren and his brother James F. Buser. He was predeceased by 3 siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 14, 2018 at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Church, Brewster, NY at 10am. Interment will follow in the family plot at Westbrookville Cemetery in Wurstboro, NY. Friends and family may call the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Thursday September 13th from 4pm-8pm.
