Lonni Sherblom, of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at Vassar Bros. Medical Center on April 17, 2020. She was 70 years old.
Born on March 27, 1950 in Thisted, Denmark, and immigrated to the U.S in 1965. Lonni is the daughter of the late Karl and Ince (Hansen) Jensen. She was a graduate of Croton-Harmon high school. On March 14, 1970 she married the love of her life, Harry M. Sherblom in Croton-on- Hudson, NY. Together they moved to Brewster and raised their three children.
Lonni was a nurse's aid at Waterview Nursing Home in North Salem. She was also employed at the Danish Home in Croton-on Hudson.
Mrs. Sherblom is survived by her husband Harry, and children; Christine (Peter) Chiarello of New Milford, CT, Michael Sherblom of Jessup, PA, and Jenny Sherblom of Brewster, NY. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Anthony Scalzo of New Milford, CT, Michael Sherblom Jr. and Justin Portaro, both of Jessup, PA.
Lonni was predeceased by her parents, and younger sister Marie (Jensen) Jones.
Lonni loved to go camping during the summer and travel around the country in the family RV. She loved the ocean and visiting her family in South Carolina. Lonni was also a lover of nature where she had a green thumb and looked forward to feeding the humming birds every May.
A private cremation will be held. Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster NY, assisted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held in Lonni's memory at a future date.
