Margaret Mary (King) Bily, 66,died peacefully on April 15, 2017 surrounded by her family at her home in Purdys, NY. She was the beloved mother of Allison and Billy (Andrea) and the most dedicated and cherished grandmother of Kaelyn. Maggie was born in the Bronx on July 14, 1950 to the late Peggy (Donaghey) and George King. <br>Maggie dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by her husband, Bill, and five siblings including her dedicated younger sister, Debbie (Keith Mey) and her niece and God daughter , Megan as well as her brothers, Mark, Jimmy (Bonnie), Steve, and George (Naidene). Maggie was also treasured by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. <br>Maggie was an esteemed English teacher for 27 years. She previously taught at St. Lawrence O'Toole in Brewster, St. Mary's in Katonah, and St. Patrick's School in Bedford. Maggie was an incredible teacher who loved her students, the faculty, and families at St. Pat's where she continued to substitute teach after her retirement in 2010. Maggie also ran the Somers Tot Time Camp for over 30 years. <br>Maggie was a great cook who loved being outside and tending her flower gardens. <br>We are truly grateful for all of the doctors and nurses (especially on 6 south at NWH) who took such amazing care of her. <br>Visitation will be at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster, NY from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday April 18, 2017. A mass in her honor will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Somers, NY on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 11:30am.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Margaret M. Bily Scholarship Fund at St. Patrick's School. Checks may be mailed to St. Patrick's School, 483 Old Post Rd. Bedford, NY 10506. Please write Bily Scholarship in the memo section.
