Marion H. O'Keefe

Marion H. O’Keefe, of New Fairfield, CT, died peacefully at home on Tuesday February 19, 2019 with her family by her side. She was 90 years old.<br>Born on December 6, 1928 in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Weldon and Marion (Taylor) Schuck. Marion married the love of her life John on June 26, 1948 in the Bronx, NY. John predeceased her on September 17, 1971.<br>Mrs. O’Keefe was the former owner of the Putnam Lake Market. She also was a factory worker for American Cyanamid in Danbury for 18 years before retiring. <br>For over 50 years Marion lived in Putnam Lake before moving to New Fairfield 7 years ago. She was a member of the Putnam Lake Women’s sewing club and the Senior Center. She was also an active member of the Rosary Alter Society and assisted with the Children’s CYO in Patterson. <br>Marion is survived by her loving children; Patricia Griffin of New Fairfield, CT, John O’Keefe of Lake Ariel, PA, Michael O’Keefe of Madion, CT, her 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Mosher. <br>A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on February 23, 2019 at 9:30am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT. Internment will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Visitation will be held on Friday February 22, 2019 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 4pm-7pm.<br>Donations may be made in memory to the Alzheimer’s research foundation, 225 N.
