Mary Schroeder

Mary Jane Schroeder, a 35-year resident of Brewster, NY, died peacefully with her family by her side on June 23, 2018 at Regional Hospice Care, Danbury, CT.

Born on July 5, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Ginnerty) Devitt. She was a Richmond Hill High School graduate. On June 6, 1959 she married the love of her life Harold Schroeder. He predeceased his wife.

Jane was a clerk with Pfizer in NYC. NY for over 44 years before retiring. She was also an active parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY.

Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her two brothers; John J. Devitt and James G. Devitt and many nieces and nephew. She was not only predeceased by her husband but also her brother Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 11am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 26th from 4-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster, NY.
