MaryAnn Veronica Castellano

MaryAnn V. Castellano, 75, of North Salem, NY passed away peacefully at home Thursday, July 7, 2016. Mary Ann was the loving wife of 46 years to Michael Mark Castellano, and the proud mother of her six children. Born on April 12, 1941 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of Rose & Al Tarantino.

As a beautiful, vivacious metropolitan young woman, MaryAnn worked her first job at The Mary Chess Perfume Company on Fifth Avenue in New York City. After marrying Michael and while raising her children, she worked devotedly in the North Salem School District as a Teacher’s Aide and will be cherished forever as “Mrs. C” to all who have known and loved her.

MaryAnn is survived by her children, Michele (John) Pezzillo of North Salem NY, Melissa (Peter) Karaffa of New Milford CT, Michael (Kristal) Castellano of North Salem NY, Mark (Theresa) Castellano of North Salem NY and Matthew (Catherine) Castellano of Patterson NY. She was predeceased by her daughter Melinda Castellano. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren Zach & Jesse Pezzillo, Mia & Bella Castellano, Michael & Andrew Karaffa, Dominic & Marco Castellano, and Matthew, Steven & Joseph Castellano.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, July 11th at 10AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Somers, NY. Interment following at June Cemetery, North Salem, NY.
