Paul M. DiDio

Paul M. DiDio, 96, of Brewster NY died peacefully at home on Thursday April 6th. Paul was born February 12th, 1921 in Sicily, Italy to Benedetta and Serafino DiDio. He was raised in New York City where he joined the church choir and set eyes on the love of his life, Sadie DiCaroli. Paul served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On May 27th, 1944 Sadie and Paul married and moved to Long Island where they raised their two sons. Paul was the President of Crown Kitchen Cabinet Company in Brooklyn, NY for 25 years. <br><br>He moved to Brewster in 1963 and upon his retirement, he settled at Hollybrook Farm. He took his passion for carpentry and turned the farm into year-round rental homes. His greatest joy was helping his friends and family. He was truly a kind and gentle person loved by all. <br><br>Paul was predeceased by his wife, Sadie and his five younger brothers Alex, Joe, Sal, Angelo, and Nat. He is survived by his sons Sero DiDio and his wife Meryl of Brewster, NY, Fred DiDio and his wife Nancy of Binghamton, NY, his grandchildren Paul DiDio, Jessica Lamoureux and husband Bobby, Sara DiDio, and Alisa DiDio, and great grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Lamoureux. His devotion to his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews was evident every day.<br><br>Friends may call at Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster NY (www.beecherfuneralhome.com) on Sunday, April 9th from 11-2pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at Beecher’s Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
