Paul Paddock Obituary

Paul Paddock of Patterson, NY and New York City passed away on May 4, 2016 after a brief illness. He was 41 years old.
Paul was born on June 2, 1974 in Carmel, NY to Pat (Trongone) Paddock and the late John R. Paddock Jr. He grew up in Putnam Lake. He played sports, enjoyed music but his real love was art. He graduated from Brewster High School in 1992 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1997. He also attended the Empire State Independent Studio Program in New York City from 2000-2001.
Paul began his career in art as the visual manager at antique boutique in NYC. He went on to become a book designer for Avalon Publishing and later, a senior designer at Interview Magazine. Most recently he was doing freelance work for an architectural firm in NYC.
Paul was an accomplished artist. In the past 19 years, his work has been shown in New York City, Wilmington, DE and Pittsburgh, PA.
He has participated in Pulse New York and was a contributing artist at FreeArts NYC annual auction. His website is www.paul-paddock.com. Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his longtime partner and fiancée Eleanor Duncan of New York City, his brother John and sister-in-law Melissa, his brother Joe and sister-in-law Dawn, and 2 nieces Julia and Kyra, all of Patterson. He also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends.
Paul was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 9, 2016 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday May 8, 2016 from 4pm-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
In lieu of flowers, his family asked that contributions in Paul’s memory be made to FreeArts NYC (Freeartsnyc.org) so that one day another young boy or girl will fulfill their dream of being a great artist.
