Ocala – Mr. Robert H. Johnson Jr. 75, of Ocala, passed away on September 23, 2014.
Born in New York, NY, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired lineman for NYSEG. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Ocala Sportsman Association and the Tunsten Rod and Gun Club in Sullivan County New York.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mae Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Johnson, of Ocala; son, Jerome L. (Karen) Johnson, of Brewster NY; daughter, Julie A. (Francis) Chang; of Bronxville, NY; brother, Earl S. (Cheryl) Johnson of Brewster, NY; sister in-laws Roberta J. Puff of Ocala and Rolinda L. Luther of Wassaic, NY; brother in-law, William A. (Denise) Elting, of Ocala; six grandchildren; Brendan, Kate, Steven, Joy, Luke and Abigail all of NY; close friends, Doug and Geraldine Baker of Tavares, FL; several nieces and nephews and his beloved canine companion Max.
The family will be having a gathering on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster (beecherfuneralhome.com) and a service at the funeral home on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY.
