Rose Patricia Verbasco “Patricia”, of Patterson, NY, died with her family by her side on September 13, 2017 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 80 years old.
Patricia was born on April 22, 1937 in Mt. Kisco, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Dunn) Hansen. She was a high school graduate of Brewster High School, Brewster, NY.
In 1957 she married the love of her life Richard P. Verbasco. Since 1998 they created a family home in Patterson, NY. Mr. Verbasco predeceased his wife on October 28, 2006.
Mrs. Verbasco was a Teacher’s Aid for disabled children with Education Connection in Danbury, CT of 20 years before retiring in 2002. After retiring she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patricia is a member of the Brewster Elks Lodge and also a parishioner at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Church.
Mrs. Verbasco is survived by her sons; Richard Verbasco, Jr. of Ridgefield, CT and Michael Verbasco of Patterson, NY, her siblings; Alice Schultz of Southbury, CT, Sophia Stokes of Danbury, CT and Conrad Hansen of Beacon, NY, his 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was not only predeceased by her husband but also her son Brian in 1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at 10am at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Church. Interment of her ashes will follow at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
