Shirley C. Pigat passed on Sunday in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Patterson to Mattie and James Casey on July 14, 1938. Shirley graduated from Brewster High School in 1955 and married Robert Pigat on September 26, 1959. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and a caring friend to many. Shirl was an exceptional cook, avid sports fan, and active member in the community. Her family will forever remember her delicious meals, wonderful sense of humor, and her zest for life. Together Bob and Shirl had four children Robert (Sue), Lisa Delzio (Marc), Dennis (Christine), and Daryl (Amir). She was also a loving and generous grandmother to Marc and Marisa Delzio and Robert Pigat, III. She is also survived by a sister Mary Viniello (John), brother Jerome Casey, and sister Margaret Casey along with numerous nieces and nephews. To honor her life, her family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, 1/8 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Funeral service will be at St. Lawrence O’Toole on Thursday, 1/9 at 11:00 am.
