Susan M. Blaney, of Brewster, NY, died Thursday December 22, 2016 at Danbury Hospital after an accident. She was 53 years old.
Susan was born on February 25, 1963 in Carmel, NY daughter to Elaine A. (Burdick) Otto of Brewster, NY and the late Donald W. Otto. She attended Brewster High School and continued her education to receive a certificate in CNA.
Susan was a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY, moving to Gloversville for a few years before returning to Brewster. She was employed at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, NY as a CNA as well as other nursing facilities in the area.
Sue had a great love for the outdoors and birds, whether it be watching the birds fly or feeding them. She could also talk to anyone for hours and not notice the time going by.
Susan is survived by her mother Elaine, her 3 sons; Michael, Stephen and Joseph and her 2 grandchildren. Also her 3 brothers; Donald Jr., Robert and David, her 4 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews and her companion Dwain Capece. She was predeceased by her father in 2014, her sister Jane in 2013 and a grandson.
A memorial service will be held on January 4, 2017 at 6:30pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4pm-7pm. A private cremation was held prior to the services. www.beecherfuneralhome.com
