Theresa S Valden

Theresa S. Valden, 85, of San Felipe, Texas died at 4:00 am on March 23, 2015 at Herman Memorial Hospital, Katy, Texas. She was born May 16, 1929 in Brewster, NY to John and Santa Snidero.

She married Robert H. Valden on September 16, 1950. Theresa's beloved husband, Robert and daughter, Karen Porcheron preceded her in death.

Theresa has five surviving children, son Robert Valden, Jr. and wife Sarah, daughter Florence and husband Arne Morgensen, daughter Helena and husband John Ripperger, son David Valden, Sr and wife Robin, all of San Felipe, Texas. Also surviving are daughter, Suzanne and husband Nigel Light of Woodbridge, CT and son-in-law Charles Porcheron of Pink Hill, NC. Theresa's much loved grandchildren number 18 and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are Theresa's twin sister, Mary Baske of New Fairfield, CT and their younger sister Anna Leiss of Danbury, CT.

She and Robert were long-time residents of North Haven, CT where they raised their children before moving to Texas in 1984, living there ever since along with four of her children and their families.

Theresa attended Brewster High School and graduated in 1947. She has a strong bookkeeping background and a lifelong love of cooking, reading and playing cards with friends and family. A devoted member of her dear church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, Texas, Theresa loved life and lived her faith taking care of people. She greeted everyone she met as if they were a long lost family member. No one ever left her home hungry or unloved. She is ‘Grandma’ to more people than we could ever imagine.
