Thomas F. Kelly age 71, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Patterson, NY passed away Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
A native of Bronx, NY he was the son of Edward and Mary (Philbin) Kelly and a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, Class of 1968.
Thomas was a Police Officer with the White Plains Police Department before retiring and moving to North Carolina where he worked at Lowe's. He was a long-time member of the Putnam Lake Fire Department and a member of the Buccaneer Gun Club. He loved to spend his spare time building things and working around the house.
Mr. Kelly is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Rhein (Daniel) of West Babylon, NY and Suzanne Short (James) of Valhalla, NY, his sister, Mrs. Michele Meaney, of Matawan, NJ, his brother, Edward Kelly of Apache Junction, AZ and his grandchildren, Colin, Dylan, and Daniel Rhein and Aidan and Christian Short.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21st from 5pm to 8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster NY. Condolences may be left for the family at beecherfuneralhome.com.
