Thomas G. Muhlfeld

Thomas G. Muhlfeld, of Brewster, NY, died on Monday November 18, 2019. He was 71 years old.

Tom was born on April 14, 1948 in the Bronx, NY, son of the late George and Angelina (Sacca) Muhlfeld. He was a graduate of Columbus High School in the Bronx and then attended the Police Academy in New York City.

On October 19, 1974 he married the love of his life Joann M. Greco. In 1976 they moved to Brewster, NY to raise their family.

Tom was a New York City Police Officer for 15 years before retiring in 1987. After his retirement from the Police Department, he began working as a Signalman for Metro North Railroad until his retirement in 2009.

Mr. Muhlfeld’s greatest passion in life was his family, including his wife, his two sons and his grandchildren. He enjoyed sports, especially the Yankees, gardening and supporting his grandchildren. You could often find him walking laps around his neighborhood with his headphones on. He was also a very skilled handyman around the house. Tom was a coach and Board Member with the Brewster Little League for 10 years thru 1997. He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church.

Tom is not only survived by his loving wife of 45 years, but also his two sons; Thomas J. and his wife Eve of Cornwall, NY, Brian J. and his wife Lauren of Hopewell Junction, NY and his 6 grandchildren; Natalia, T.J., Samantha, Jackson, Mackenzie and Olivia. He was predeceased by his sister, June Dobry.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday November 22, 2019 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church at 10am. Interment will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 21st at Beecher Funeral Home 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
