They visited Eleanor and helped provide supplies as she lost her vision due to macular degeneration.~ Eleanor Mollie Acquavella, 87, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at Cumberland Medical Center, in Crossville, TN. Eleanor was born on March 13, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Fischetti. She had a high school diploma. Eleanor is survived by her sister, Rose Amato; 3 children: John Acquavella, Joseph Acquavella, and Josephine Incampo; 10 grandchildren: Stacey Laney, Nicole French, Robert Acquavella, Rose LaVerghetta, Eleanor Incampo, Jonathan Acquavella, Frank Incampo, Jordan Acquavella, Robert Maggiotto, and Nicolette Maggiotto; and 4 great-grandchildren: Matty French, Julianne Acquavella, Zachary Acquavella, and Nalya Laney. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Acquavella, her twin sister Louisa, 6 brothers: Philip, Nicholas, George, William, Joseph, Charles, and a son who died at birth. Eleanor was a giving and generous person and was extremely loving and caring. She had a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, Eleanor will be greatly missed and always remembered. We know you’re up there with Bob now, watching over us, and we love you. Calling hours will be held from 2 PM - 5 PM and 7 PM - 9 PM Thursday, June 7th at Sisto Funeral Home 3489 E Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY 10465. A Mass will be held 10:15 AM Friday, June 8th at St. Benedict’s Church, 2969 Otis Ave, Bronx NY, 10465. Burial will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY in the “Our Savior” Section.
