Eugene Pagano Obituary

Eugene (Gene) Pagano, 67, of the Bronx passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday March 30th, 2011 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born on December 27, 1943 to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Pagano, Gene married Angela Sellitto on April 18, 1964 and worked as a Custodial Engineer for the NYC Board of Education before retiring in 2006. He had three sisters Barbara Pansy (deceased), Linda McGinnis, and Janis Pagano. Gene was an avid fisherman and was a member of the White Cross Fishing Club. He enjoyed painting and playing the guitar and loved to make up stories and songs. In addition to his wife Angela, Gene is survived by his daughters Victoria Pagano (William Hallacy) of Tenafly, NJ and Angela Pagano (George Sobierajski) of Greene, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael Hallacy, Aleksandr Sobierajski and Nikolas Sobierajski; and nieces and nephews Linda Pansy, George (Lisa) Pansy, Robert Pansy, and James (Theresa) Farmer. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society with a designation to lung cancer research. Viewings will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 pm Saturday and Sunday at Sisto Funeral Home in the Bronx. A funeral mass will take place 10:00am Monday April 4th at Our Lady Of Solace Church.
