Jeffery Clarence Rice, 54, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on October 20, 2012. Jeff is survived by his loving girlfriend of 10 years Natasha Sakharova, son Trevor Rice, daughters Lesley Rice, Courtney Rice, and Daria Sakharova, mother Joan Rice, sister Jennifer (Doug) Kepreos, brothers John (Mary Jane) Rice, Joe (Patricia) Rice, and Jim Rice, grandchildren Timothy and Grace, and many loving nieces and nephews. Jeff was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. Jeff was preceded in death by his father John Rice. Jeff was an accomplished carpenter and pirate ship builder for 30+ years. Jeff was a hard worker, free spirit, and his light heartedness and sense of humor was infectious to those who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 25 at St. Louise de Marillac Parish, E. McMurray Road, Upper St. Claire, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
