Joan D Mayer 1931-2019 Joan D. Mayer of Bronx, New York, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born in the Bronx and lived her entire life in the same home on Pierce Avenue. She is the daughter of the late John and Filomena Desimone. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lee Mayer and is survived by daughters Nanci Mayer-Mihalski (Timothy), Lorraine Mayer-Tricoli (Vincent), her sister Louise Wyman, grandchildren John Tricoli (Cecilia), Megan Tricoli, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday May 20, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday May 21, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).
