Fitzgerald, John W. (Retired NYPD Lieutenant) age 87 of Mineola, New York passed away peacefully in the chapel at Jeanne Jugan Residence on October 11th, 2015. Beloved husband of 58 years of Eileen (née Curry.) Loving father of Eileen McGrath (John),John (Alice), Michael, Tara Fuentes (Mario). Devoted grandfather of Daniel, Julia, Connor, Caroline, Michael, Catherine, and Mario. Also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Active parishioner of Saint Aidan's Church Williston Park, NY. Reposing at Jeanne Jugan Residence 2999 Schurz Avenue Bronx, NY. Visiting Tuesday 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, October 15, 2015 11:15 am at Saint Aidans Church Willis Avenue, Williston Park, New York.
