Michael Cea Bronx, New York Obituary

Michael Cea

Michael Cea, born on April 17, 1931, was a life-long resident of the Bronx, until moving to Florida in 2002, to be closer to his family. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jodi Ann Cea; granddaughters Heather Cea and Melissa Kahler; and four beautiful great-grandchildren - Ashley (18), Zak (11), Rosey (9), and Kadence (5), all residents of Florida. He will be missed by his family very, very much. Although divorced for over 40 years, Michael remained friends with his wife Virginia until her unexpected death in 2003. He is also predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Antoinette (Rendina) Cea, and his only sibling, Dolly Fraioli, whom he shared a birthday with just four years apart. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory two nephews, Robert and Michael Fraioli, as well as numerous cousins. Michael was very proud of his Navel affiliation during the Korean War and was also a life-long honorary member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of Italy. He was employed by Varsity Transit as a school bus driver in the Bronx for 30 years. He also worked as a security guard for the Bronx Botanical Gardens for 10 years. Michael was a dedicated, hard worker until his retirement, he was a loyal friend to many, and was consistently an hour early for any appointment. He also had a great sense of humor, which was still evident to the hospital personnel even at the end of his life. Michael was a gentle man as well as a gentleman. He was also a loving, generous father and grand-father. He took great pride in the love he received from his great-grandchildren. He will be forever loved and always missed.
